Electric Motorcycle Battery Maintenance Tips

Feb 02, 2026

1. Avoid Over-Discharge: Charge the battery promptly when the charge level drops below 20%-30% to prevent complete depletion.

2. Avoid Overcharging: Unplug the charger promptly after the battery is fully charged (green light illuminates) to avoid prolonged overcharging.

3. Use the Appropriate Charger: Always use the original charger or a charger with matching specifications. Do not use incompatible chargers.

4. Control the Charging Environment: Avoid charging in high-temperature environments (due to heat dissipation after charging in summer) or low-temperature environments (due to preheating before charging in winter).

5. Regular Maintenance:

Long-Term Storage: Maintain the battery charge at 50%-80% and recharge every 1-2 months.

Check Connections: Regularly check the battery connections for looseness or oxidation.

Adding Water to Lead-Acid Batteries: If the electrolyte level is insufficient, have distilled water added at a professional shop.
